What name do you like to go by?
How did you get into fitness?
As a struggling dancer in Los Angeles circa 2011, I became a dance fitness instructor to pay the bills and also stay in shape for my very competitive career. I ended up falling in love with fitness because it changed my life. I wanted to help people increase their confidence and become their best selves the same way fitness did for me.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
I try to stay active as much as possible, whether that’s waking on the beach, going on a hike, taking a class, or hanging out with friends and family. I also enjoy reading, art, and diving into a good personal development book.
What inspires you?
What inspires me is the idea that we are limitless and have unlimited potential. While we have tangible goals we want to accomplish, achieving the goal is never actually the fulfilling part of it. Rather, it’s who you become in the process. With this knowledge, I strive to always become better every day.
What’s your pre-workout routine or ritual?
Before any workout, I make sure that I go through dynamic stretches to really prime my body for the workout. I do a small routine that helps to prime my body and more importantly, prime my mind.
What has motivated you to become a trainer?
I remember taking fitness classes at my local gym when I was a teenager and being so inspired by the seemingly unlimited energy that the group fitness instructors had. I had no idea how they generated so much energy and zest for life in their classes and it always inspired me to be like them. Now that I’m in the fitness industry as an instructor myself, I know that there are people in my class who have those same aspirations. I am motivated to be that person they look up to!
How do you motivate others?
I motivate others by relating my past struggles with theirs, inspiring them to realize that they’re not alone.
