INSPIRED ATHLETE: Justin Baldoni
How did you get into fitness?
I think I have always been into fitness as I was an athlete growing up. But I don’t think I thought of it as fitness until I hit 30 and I could feel my body start to change. Fitness is now such an important part of my life and I now think of it as a foundation. When my foundation is weak it’s hard to build anything on it.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
My weeks are so intense that ideally I would love to just relax, sleep in, and be with my family the whole time but thats not quite the world I live in at the moment. However, if I can get in the pool with my kids, get a workout in, spend a few hours with my wife and cook or bbq I am a happy man!
What inspires you?
The littlest things. Human beings are amazing and I believe if you look for it, you can find inspiration everywhere. Just take a second and mediate on the tiniest thing you can think of and the deeper you think about it the more wondrous it becomes.
What’s your pre-workout routine or ritual?
I like to drink some sort of all natural pre work out. Right now I’m using a drink I found on Amazon that has nothing artificial and I’m liking it.
What are your 5 favorite songs from your workout playlist?
Currently – I don’t have one playlist, I’m just jumping back and forth but it’s all based on my mood. I spent probably six months just listening to the Hamilton Soundtrack while I worked out. Right now I’m back in an Eminem phase, but the other morning I worked out to the Trolls soundtrack. Welcome to having kids.
What “healthy” food do you hate?
Anything without sauce that is dry.
What are you most proud of?
My family.
Where can everyone find you?
@justinbaldoni across the board
Anything else that you would like us to know?
I’m loving my Inspire Fitness Cage system. I joke with my friends that my gym has everything Equinox has and it’s mostly because of that piece of equipment. So functional and so beautiful to look at.
