What name do you like to go by?
How did you get into fitness?
I started lifting weights when I was 16 but had no idea what I was doing. I kept frequenting the gym but didn’t seriously get into fitness until my final year of college when I was 23. I had made friends with a personal trainer at a gym and learned how to properly train and structure a program. The rest is history!
What do you like to do on the weekends?
Since I work for myself, every day is the weekend! I love to travel to different countries and experience different cultures. I also am an avid vegan activist so I frequently speak at vegan events and conferences. My other hobby is longboarding along the beach!
What inspires you?
The thought of helping others live a healthier and more fulfilling life.
What’s your pre-workout routine or ritual?
My workouts always begin with some light stretching and mentally preparing for my workout. That can entail mentally structuring my workouts, how much weight I’m going to lift, and getting ready to push myself to my limits.
What are your 5 favorite songs from your workout playlist?
Any song from System of A Down
What “healthy” food do you hate?
Haha, to be honest, I can’t think of anything healthy that I don’t like. I can convince myself to like anything if I know it’s healthy for me.
What are you most proud of?
Being the first vegan IFBB Pro Bodybuilder and the first vegan to be on the cover of Muscle and Fitness Magazine are some accomplishments that I’m very proud of, but I’m most proud of having the courage to follow my dreams and create my own reality while helping people reclaim their health.
Where can everyone find you?
@nimai_delgado on every platform but I’m most active on Instagram.
What are some of your goals?
To start painting again! Also. I’d love to go to Ireland where my mother was born and become a grandmother someday.
