INSPIRE FITNESS STUDIOS: Rachel Silverman
Rachel is a 500hr E-RYT yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching yoga for over 12 years. She received her 500 hour training through Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank and her 200 hour training through YogaFit. She is also a certified personal trainer, health coach and has been certified in Yoga Sculpt and POP Pilates. Currently, she is working on her Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Sport Management. Rachel loves to inspire her students to work hard and loves to help everyone achieve their goals whether that be flexibility, strength, weight loss, etc. Her classes are fun and challenging at the same time. When you don’t see Rachel in the Yoga Studio she’s off at a Jui Jitsu tournament winning medals!

How did you get into fitness?
My mom took me to mousercise (Mickey Mouse jazzercise) when I was 4.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
Typically, I like to catch up on sleep, then check in to see what I can get myself into whether its hanging out w/ friends, family or going to the movies by myself.
What inspires you?
Seeing my students progress and helping them to reach their goals.
What’s your pre-workout routine or ritual?
Drink coffee if it’s a morning workout.
What has motivated you to become a trainer?
I enjoy yoga and fitness and want to be able to help others be healthy. I enjoy being around people and I love helping people reach their goals.
How do you motivate others?
I motivate by example.
What are your 5 favorite songs from your workout playlist?
It changes weekly. I love Taylor Swift, Ed Sheerhan, and any pop music.
What “healthy” food do you hate?
I used to hate brussel sprouts but now I love them. I hate beets, carrots, and celery.
What are you most proud of?
Winning 2nd place at the NoGi World Championships. I have many gold medals but that 2nd place finish took 3 tough fights and was my biggest competition to date.
